Ramon Torres is an associate professor at the UPC. His research focuses on the study of Einstein's Theory of Relativity and Gravitation in general, which includes consequences and applications of the Theory of General Relativity and its possible improvements and modifications taking into account quantum effects.
He has published papers in some of the top scientific journals on the topics of stellar collapse, black hole formation, and the study of singularities. Also in the cosmic censorship conjecture, Hawking radiation and the contribution of quantum effects to gravitational collapse, as well as the avoidance of singularities in space-time.
