Researchers from the BIOCOM-SC research group, Ciutat de Barcelona 2021 award in the experimental science and technology category

The City of Barcelona Awards 2021 have recognized the researchers Clara Prats, Martí Català, Dani Lopez, Sergio Alonso and Enric Alvarez of the research group of Computational Biology and Complex Systems (BIOCOM-SC) in the category of experimental sciences and technology for their contribution to the mathematical modeling of the epidemiological dynamics of COVID-19 and for its work in disseminating and communicating science.

The jury of the City of Barcelona Awards, convened by Barcelona City Council, has agreed to award the prize in the category of experimental sciences and technology to researchers in the Department of Physics "for their contribution to the mathematical modeling of the epidemiological dynamics of the COVID-19 and, especially, for its work in disseminating and communicating science, making accessible and comprehensible to society the daily monitoring of the short-term evolution of epidemiological data. " The awards will be presented on February 15, in an event that will take place at the Saló de Cent of Barcelona City Council. More information on the UPC press page.
