Professor Trinitat Pradell receives the Narcís Monturiol Medal

On January 25th, at the Palau de la Generalitat Auditorium, the Generalitat of Catalonia awarded Professor Trinitat Pradell the Narcís Monturiol Medal for scientific and technological merit.

Professor Trinitat Pradell of the Physics department of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) has been recognized with the Narcís Monturiol Medal awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya for the contributions made throughout her professional career. A distinction he received at an institutional event on January 25, at the Palau de la Generalitat Auditorium, in Barcelona.

Trinitat Pradell is a researcher in the Material Characterization Group (GCM) and the Cultural Heritage Materials Analysis research group (AMPC) where she carries out her research in the field of materials science, with special attention to materials of interest in the field of cultural heritage and its conservation. The aim of his research is multiple: on the one hand, to analyze the materials to obtain information of interest from the historical and conservation side; and, on the other hand, study production technology, identifying changes over time in materials and processes (lost technologies), as well as technological discoveries (new materials and new instruments).
